The Process:
(click any photos to enlarge)
Step
1: Forming
We form the area we plan on pouring and stamping.
Step
2: Adding color
We add color to the concrete in the truck for the specified
amount of color per yard as pre-measured by the bucket.
Step
3:
Bull floating concrete surface
We bull float and/or trowel the surface until it closes up and
then we are almost ready to stamp.
Step
4: Applying release agent
When the concrete is ready to stamp, we apply desired release
agent. Your release agent acts as barrier between the concrete and stamps, while
giving you that antique appearance after washing off.
Step
5: Stamping concrete
The benefit of the stamp is the authentic appearance you
receive.
Step
6:
Washing off excess release agent
After three days, we use a low pressure power washer and scrub
brush to remove the desired amount of release agent, leaving enough to accent
your joint lines and achieving an antique appearance.
Step
7:
Sealing surface
After the surface is completely dry and free of moisture, we
apply two coats of sealer. This can be either sprayed on or rolled on.
Finished
Surface
What you have as a result is a beautiful surface that anyone would be proud
to own.
